South Korea Trip # part 1 : My Little Sisters

One of my favourite moments in this trip was spending time with my little sisters.
They are 11 years old twins and we have a big age gap but it was so much fun to hang out with them.
Even though they are twins, both of them have completely different personalities so spending time with them was a pleasure and also an interesting experience.

For my birthday, we went to the buffet restaurant called 'The Party Premium' in Haewoondae, Busan.
This is a picture of the youngest twin, Boa.
She has a great voice and is also very talented at dancing.
I haven't seen her for about 3 years so I didn't have a chance to listen to her singing
but this time, when I heard her voice, I was amazed...and very proud of her.

This is a picture of my mother and the oldest twin, Bo-yoon.
While I was in my hometown, she was constantly calling me whenever I went out and said,
"When are you coming home? Please come home as soon as possible!"
Every single day..
She has a great heart and is very loving so is very hard to get upset with her.

This photo was taken before the 3D ride, they were so excited as they were about to hop on the ride.

Let's try Korean traditional dish, Bibimbob!

We went shopping and I bought them these jumpers as gifts.
They loved them!
Bo-yoon wore it almost the whole time I was in Korea.

Batman & Power Ranger Cupcakes

Batman cupcake & Power ranger cupcake

These are for my nephew,Ethan, who loves super hero..
I made them in big rush
because I'm going to visit my family & friends in South Korea tomorrow!
That's why I'm having a break..(see the side bar)

I have to say, I'm so glad that these sugar figurines are still okay..
I didn't have time to let them dry and was rushing to put body parts together..
I had a doubt that they might fall apart but they are still in shape!
So relieved..

[Tutorial] How to make a fondant teddy bear

Finally! This is my second tutorial posting.
"How to make a fondant teddy bear"

The teddy bear is from my Valentine Day Cupcakes.

I love using teddy bear on my cupcakes & cakes.
They are adorable to look at. Especially, when it's small..
This is my way to make a teddy bear.
I tried my best to take pictures of every single step to make it easier for you.

You will need:
White fondant( your choice )
Black fondant( your choice)
Quilting tool
Small round ball tool
Knife
Brush & water or Edible glue
1 spaghetti stick

Making a body
I use spaghetti to support body & head.
Press sides of top & bottom to attach legs and arms for next steps.

Dividing
There is another way to make legs & arms.
You can roll the ball out (not dividing) long, cut it in the middle diagonally.
This way you can make two legs or arms at the same time.

Making Legs

Shaping a foot

Quilting
Brush edges of legs with water or edible glue and attach to the body.

Making arms

Attaching a head

Shaping an ears
Press the middle of the ear with a small round ball tool.
Trust me, this makes a big difference!

You can also put a tiny round fondant dot( colours of your choice )
in the middle of the ear.

* I also attached a small round ball on his mouth spot.

A red heart for Valentine's day

Make eyes & a mouth with a black fondant

Finished!
Send my love to MyCupKates' visitors & fans.xx

I hope this tutorial helps you make a sweet teddy bear..
Good luck.

Toy Story Dessert Table

Toy Story Party Dessert Table

I'd like to share Tori's dessert table for her son(Ethan)'s 1st birthday party.
After she picked up baked goodies, I had no idea how she was going to put them together.
I tried my best to keep her theme & colour.. so everything could go well with her plan.
When I saw pics of Ethan's Dessert Table she had organised, I was so excited!
She did an awesome job and the table looked very professional.
Thank you for lightening up my work, Tori. & Happy birthday, Ethan!
Special thanks to Phuong for great photograph.

Thank you for visiting MyCupKates.
